Of flared sleeves & polka dot prints

Doubling up this dress from Young Hungry Free as a top since I absolutely love the sleeves! Got it at a steal during their sale and it was one of my best purchases ever. Granted, it was my first purchase from them but all in all, it was a good, fuss-free transaction. Truthfully, I'm in awe with their workmanship quality and the material of the dress.

The polka dot skirt is also another one of my favourite purchases as of late. Came across it while I was browsing ezbuy in the wee hours of the morning (lol) and decided there and then to purchase it. Worth the 8 bucks spent! Such a lightweight material and in a flattering cut.

Also, it's one of those days where I decided to go all out with my makeup but then again, I realise that it doesn't really make a difference haha!

Quirky Antelopes

Hi guys!
So I was out celebrating my (aherm... 23rd) birthday today with S. We decided to have our lunch at Tash Tish Tosh, which is a Western/Fusion restaurant along the streets of Masjid Sultan. They were once at Simpang Bedok but they relocated to 50 Kandahar Street and we thought it was worth a try after reading the reviews.

Man oh man, the food was tiptop! Everything we ate was amazeballs. S had the Grilled Chicken Alo Allo, which was basically done aglio olio style, with chilli padi and grilled chicken bits. I myself had the PMS (prawn, mussels, squid) pasta which had a pesto based sauce with chilli padi and sambal belacan. Yep, spicy as hell but well worth it!

Decided to snap some pics along the way, but me being me (shy la konon), we didn't take much photos. We felt out of place going out on a date on a weekend. Kinda miss weekday dates but hey, you take whatever you can get huh.

I was so excited to wear my new top out! Got it at a steal from TEMT at half price. This outfit is quite a challenge for me to wear because I'm so used to dark neutrals but change is good once in a while!

Shall leave you guys to it till the next post! In the meantime, here's some photos taken and edited by S!

Punggol Promenade Nature Walk

Hi guys!
I know I'm pretty late about this but Punggol has pretty nice places to take photos in, especially if you're into the whole nature and rustic vibes.

Me and S were just from Expo's wedding exhibition (yes I still can't believe that I'm planning my own wedding sometimes) and we thought we'd drop by Punggol so that he could do some test shots (which of course has to include me innit because I'm vain).

We decided to visit the park and I wasn't disappointed at all! He managed to capture awesome ootd photos for me to post here.

And yes he just got a new camera thus the very professional bokeh background looking blurs whee!

I looked so out of place in my outfit by the sea but WHO CARES I'M WERKING IT hehehehehe!

Sharing some snaps, as per always! See you guys in my next post!

Blue walls

Hi guys!

I've been seeing a lot of Instagram posts on the latest eateries in town and one of them that I came across on was The Malayan Council over at 22 Dunlop Street.

The posts I've seen featured a lot of hearty eats and huge portions and so, with us being the kaki makans, we decided to check out the cafe.

I was so into the whole chill vibe of the cafe that I forgot to take pictures of the space and what we had for lunch/dinner. We came at about 4.30pm in the afternoon and we scored a hit! It was right after their rush hour and we were the only couple there (perks of being shift workers!). Here are some interior/exterior photos of the cafe, all thanks to www.nahmj.com

I had the Pan Seared Salmon with Ravioli while SD had his chicken fix of Ayam Panggang Sapit, alongside two cooler beverages and Stickdate Pudding to finish it all off. And boy oh boy we were not disappointed at all! Huge portions and food tasting like it's home cooked, it was a really satisfying meal.

Once that was out of the way, we decided to explore the alleys of Little India since I wanted an OOTD shot there. On the way, we met a cute kitty!

Of Florals and Midi Skirts

Hi guys!

Me and S decided to visit the Singapore Art Museum and take a look around at the exhibitions + cus I was pestering him to take photos of me (typical Jay fashion) in the museum itself.

Honestly, it was my first time in there and there were a few amazing spots for photo taking. The interior itself was pretty good, I have a personal love for their mosaic tiles.

And since we went there on a weekday, there was hardly a soul around so we were pretty free to do whatever we wanted and take photos in abundance! Wheee!

Here are some shots taken around the place. I love this outfit combination just because it appeals to my love for floral prints. One of my best buys ever from H&M!

Three years later...

Hello!
Hahaha omg how time flies! I remembered joining my new workplace in July 2013 and then *poof!*  I disappeared.
I abandoned my old blog, I deleted my videos on YouTube (don't ask) and basically only maintained my Instagram and Twitter accounts.

So much has happened within these three years - met new people, lost a couple of old ones, got my heart broken and so on and so forth. It had undoubtedly been quite a few tumultuous years if I dare say.
But, of course, to grow is to experience and conform to change, am I right? So I'm back on the blogging sphere, hopefully with more OOTD photos to share with all of you!

Truthfully, I managed to cross paths with a few of you lot who still recognize me (bless all ye wee hearts!) and told me how much you guys missed my videos. Filming's not in the works for now, as I've just resumed back so I'd start off small and blog first and maybe in the future we shall see how it goes, alright? :)

And, I officially have my own budding photographer who's willing to help shoot my outfits and recce for nicer locations to shoot the OOTDs. So all is good now!

Here's a few to start you off with, when we decided to visit the National Museum a couple of weeks back. That place has such a beautiful backdrop I just can't resist taking photos of/against!

In the meantime, take care and will talk to you guys soonest!
xoxo
